1. I am not a Realtor but I can refer customers. Can I be part of this program?
Yes, any individual or company who interacts with customers who have recently bought or have a residential property can join this program. You can also join the program if you are Builder's Sales Managers or Builder’s Customer Relationship Manager or Home Loan Agent or Interior Designer or Architect, Building Material Sales Executive/Manager or Tiles/Marble Store Owner or Tiles/Marble Store Executive/Manager.
2. What is a good or qualified lead according to DesignCafe
A Qualified Lead (QL) is Customer who has a residential interior designing requirement. Their budget of interior is more than 3.5 lakhs. Their property is situated within city limits of Bangalore, Mumbai & Hyderabad. They are either staying in the house or will get the possession of the house within 3 months. Customers who want to renovate their existing residential property.
3. Which leads do not qualify and are bad leads for DesignCafe
Customers who need commercial interiors. Customers from under construction residential buildings, as their possession time is 2-4 years. Customers who only have design requirements. Customers who need painting or polishing or small repair of cabinetry.
4. How do I sign up for the program?

5. How do I refer a customer?
You can refer a customer only by sharing their details using the link emailed to your official account. Please click on the link to see a short video on “How to refer a customer?”.
6. When do I get paid?
You get paid on completion of two milestones of the project. First installment will be paid after receiving the booking amount of the project and The second installment will be paid after we receive 55% of the cost of interiors from the customer (design finalization and approval of good for production from the customer).
7. Are there any deductions?
Yes we will be deducting TDS, as per Government norms.
8. How much is the commission?
You get a fixed rate of 4% of the total project value.
9. What is the mode of payment?
We will be transferring the commission via bank transfer. You will be required to share your bank details at the end of the onboarding process.
10. When will the commission get credited to my bank account.
You will get your commission by 25th of every month.
11. Can we work on cost per lead model ?
DesignCafe does not work on a cost per lead model because When we surveyed 200 + partners, we found that they are likely to earn 16 times more by referring rather than cost per lead. Let us take a small example. If you are selling 10 leads for 500 each. You would only earn 5,000/-* , Whereas when you refer 10 customers to us your earning would be 80,000/-* (Workings: You have referred 10 leads, our conversion percentage is 20% which results in 2 sign ups of Rs. 10 Lacs each, or Rs. 20 Lacs. Rs. 20 Lacs x 4% = Rs. 80,000/-)
12. Can I receive my commission in cash?
No, we can only pay the commission via bank transfer.
13. Can I track my Leads?
Yes, you can track your leads on our app. You will receive the login credentials after signing up for the program. Please click on the link to see a sample demo. You can also reach out to your dedicated account manager.
14. What kind of details can I track?
You can track the complete progress of the lead, to name a few - meeting schedule dates, meeting done date, customer budget, project value and booking amount with the date. You can also track your revenue and the payment details.
15. How secure is my data ?
Your data is completely secured as we use a secured CRM. The data is only accessible by key stakeholders.
16. If I don't want to share customer details, can I share your details to the client so that the client can get back, If needed?
Yes you can share the following number with your customer. We could also create customised creatives for you which can be shared with your customers. However as we have multiple lead sources it is advisable to register the customer details and then share our number with them so that we can track the correct lead source.
17. Who would be the point of contact ?
Your dedicated account manager will be the point of contact but if you need any further assistance you can reach out to Asst Dr of OCM at ……., who heads this program.
18. Do you deal in ready made furniture or loose furniture?
Yes, we deal in loose furniture but only when we are handling the complete project.
19. Which all projects have you done ? or Have you guys done any apartment at the xyz property?
Lodha Amara , Rustomjee Urbania, Godrej Prime, Runwal Forest & Rustomjee Azziano are some of the top projects which we have worked in Mumbai In Bangalore, We have done atleast one home in a society which has flats that cost more than 80L.
20. How much do you charge per sqft?
We do not work in a per sqft method as we manufacture and work as per modular basis
21. Can someone share some sample designs with the price range?

22. Can I change the Name / Mobile Number / Email Address after onboarding?
Yes, you can change the registered name with an email declaration
23. Can I change the Bank Account details ?
Yes, you can change the bank account details with an email declaration. However the Bank account holder name and the registered channel partner name should be the same.
24. What is your average order value?
Our average order size is 10 lakhs
25. What kind of marketing support do you provide?
Yes we do. Marketing collaterals, calling support, standees etc.
26. I am receiving a higher % from xyz company? Or Receiving 10% commission from local contractors ? or I am getting higher commission from other companies, interiors designers give 10%, why should i give you my lead?
I understand that you may be receiving a higher commission but it depends on conversion - giving a referral which does not convert vs one that converts. You have nothing to lose by giving the lead. You only increase your chances of making money. The key point is conversion % - for example you shared 20 leads with company A , that gave you 5% commission but converted only 10% of the lead, so you get 2 orders and 1 lakh @ 5% of a 10 lakh a order/20 lakhs, but our conversion rate is approx. 25%. So for the same effort, we would have converted 5 projects and you would get 4% of 40 lakhs = 1.6 lakhs. Which is 60% more money for the same number of leads provided by you. What's important for you is maximizing the conversion of your leads. We will give you higher volume of conversion and hence more money in the long run. In addition to converting more leads we have all systems and processes in place. Contractors and Local players do not have any system or process to safeguard your interest. However, we have a well drafted and signed agreement, which assures and secures your payment and leads. We have a dedicated account manager for our partners, who can help you with all your updates and queries. In addition to that we have a web application where you can track the activities on your leads and get timely notifications on a real time basis. We have more than 200 partners under this program. And their leads are represented and managed by 200 plus in-house designers and sales team members. We have an in-house factory to maintain high quality products, we offer upto 10 years of warranty to our customers. The local vendors do not offer any warranty. We have an in-house team of carpenters and other craftsmen as we take up end to end interior work while the vendors give it to subcontractors. As we provide an end to end solution to our customers, it results in increasing your order value, whereas other vendors will only pay for the work they have done and will execute the work he has out-sourced to subcontractors. We have a capacity of cratering to 300 plus orders in a month whereas a local vendor can only cater to a max of 5 sites a month.
27. How many closures will you do x no of leads ?
We cannot give you an exact number as there are multiple factors that result in closure, However, a ball-park percent for one on one referrals would be around 5% and bulk data would be around 1-2% closure.
28. Can I share a customer database?
We don’t work with databases. But You can reach out to your account manager to understand if we can work with your database. Referring to a customer who you know would be advised as the chances of booking and other would increase by at least 50%. However, a database of projects up for possession in the next couple of months or fresh customer details from a ready-to-move project would give you the maximum return.
29. Where is your office located ? Do you work in an xyz location?
